“101 Simple Truths For A Better Life” Humble The Poet (21) “LONELY IS A FEELING, NOT A CIRCUMSTANCE”
“Sometimes it may have nothing to do with a lack of company, but rather a wall we put up ourselves.” Why do we continue to put up this wall, especially if at the end of the day we don’t want to be lonely? The fear of loneliness drives us to compromise who we are. Our most important relationship is obviously with ourselves and we need to always remember that and keep it top of mind. The more time we continue to get to know ourselves, “the better equipped we’ll be to determine our compatibility with others.”
I’ve felt lonely in a crowded room, perhaps due to my diagnosed anxiety. I’ve also felt peace in secluded solitude. One thing I’ve learned for sure is to not let others determine this. Be comfortable with you and your feelings at all times. Regardless of what people say or think, always do “YOU”.
“Love when you’re ready, not when you’re lonely”
