“101 Simple Truths For A Better Life” Humble The Poet (16) “PAVE YOUR OWN ROAD, THERE’S LESS TRAFFIC”

“Many of us define our successes in seeing what other people have.”  I’ve been guilty of this going back as far as I can possibly remember.  Yes, it’s healthy to aspire but it caused me to fall into a trap of a beaten path.  If someone you know found success creating a certain path, one which you thought was something you should be doing perhaps, you can be sure that path will be clogged with obstacles of people trying to follow in their footsteps. “When you pave your own road, there’s less traffic.”

Let’s all have a happy vision, the more unique and clear that vision is, the more clear and unique the path needs to be to get there.  What was once important to us when we were 10, changed when we were 15 and then changed again when we were 20.  Let’s learn not to be too attached.  “Also realize if you don’t choose to find happiness with what you have, you won’t find happiness with what you get.”  Humble states that the more we know ourself, the more unique our adventure will be.  There is no need to follow the herd, what makes them smile won’t necessarily be right for you.

To choose the path already paved or to pave your own?  The option is yours.

“There’s no need to follow the herd, what makes them smile won’t necessarily be right for you.”

What does your best life look like?
